Teenage Life Today

A novella from a nine year old

Learn about teenage life today

Not from an adult, not even from a teenager, but from a nine year old girl.

E.B.M. has been observing teenage life for a number of years. When E.B.M.’s mother mentioned that teenage girls were getting depressed, and social media was thought to be part of the problem, she put pen to paper to create this lively novella about the ups and downs of teenage life - with and without social media.

By coincidence, a couple of weeks later, the B416 campaign was launched. Given how closely linked the messages are, E.B.M’s mother transcribed the 84 page handwritten book into an eBook and paperback.

It is available on Kindle but if purchased here, E.B.M. will donate $2 per sale to B416 - a newly established charity formed to change the laws and protect Kiwi kids.

About E.B.M.

E.B.M was born in 2015. She has long had a keen interest in what lies ahead, particularly the teenage years.

Among her many interests, she loves to read, write, cook, dance and recently has taken up football. In 2024, after seeing World of Wearable Arts, she was inspired to produce her own ‘mini WOW’, with fashion inspired by the four seasons.

She lives in Wellington, New Zealand, with her parents, older sister, younger brother and an enormous dog.

Note from the author

Hello fellow readers! I am here to say that I wrote the book to inspire not only teenagers but adults too. Most adults these days are always on there phones and so are teenagers. If you people learn how to actually put down screens even just for a day, I promise you it’ll be life changing and believe me I know how hard it is for you guys to go a day without a phone, iPad etc checking your emails or doing a game on your phone but please take this important message to mind and have a break. You don’t have to but please try, after all I’m just a nine-year old girl in a big world.

Peace out.

E.B.M .

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT

$2 from each sale (on this website) will go to B416 - campaigning to ban social media for the under 16s in New Zealand

Why have I been redirected to another website called Cassiobury?

The cost of hosting teenagelifetoday.boo as its own separate site was too expensive. Instead, E.B.M.’s mother, i.e. Rhiannon McKinnon, transferred the two page website to nest under her own business website, Cassiobury.
